Overview
NFL+ is the NFL’s official streaming platform, launched to evolve how fans experience the game. The challenge was to transform the former Game Pass into a bold, modern identity that honored tradition while stepping confidently into the future.
Contributions
Brand Identity Development
I worked with the NFL's internal design team during the identity phase, contributing to logo development, refining the final identity, and co-authoring the visual identity guidelines that shaped the platform's long-term presence.
Motion Exploration
I conceptualized how the new brand could move, including storyboarding logo animations, designing animated treatments for brand applications such as social posts, and providing creative feedback to our motion team to ensure consistency with the identity system.
Bringing the Brand to Life
I edited and color-corrected behind-the-scenes footage documenting La Visual’s collaboration with the NFL design team. This included motion-stabilizing shaky video, syncing audio, adjusting lighting, and adding motion graphics to support the storytelling. The final case study video helped showcase the creative process and the strategic thinking behind the NFL+ brand identity. Watch the Video
Impact
NFL+ launched successfully as the league’s primary digital platform, setting a new standard for sports streaming. The identity work received recognition with Gold and Silver wins at the International Davey Awards. It marked a pivotal step in how the NFL brand appears in a digital-first landscape.
